Events
The National Day of Prayer is an annual event held throughout the
United States on the first Thursday in May asking Christians to unite in
prayer for our nation. This years event will be held on May 7th. Asher
Glade Church of the Brethren participates annually, inviting area
Christians to gather for this event. As the event day approaches, more
information will be given.

Digging deaper into God’s Word, a weekly Bible Study is held on
Wednesday’s beginning at 6:30. They are seasonal Bible Studies,
meaning that they run from January through the end of May, and from
Labor Day until Thanksgiving.
Vacation Bible School is an important outreach to our local community.
Usually help in July, children from various parts of the region come to
Asher Glade for a week of learning and fun. More information to come.
An important event at our church is the annual Chicken ‘n Biscuit Dinner
/ Gospel Sing. Usually help in August, proceeds from the event support
Operation Christmas Child. More information coming.
Everyone loves ice cream. Come and bring the family for some good ole
fashioned, homemade ice cream. Stick around for the auction. You’ll be
glad you did.

The central emphasis of Asher Glade is not a creed, but a commitment to follow Chirst in simple
obedience, to be faithful disciples in a modern world. We believe in God as Creator and Sustainer. We
confess the Lordship of Jesus Christ and we seek to be guided by the Holy Spirit in every aspect of life,
thought and mission.
We hold the New Testament as our guidebook for daily living, affirming with it the need for lifelong and
faithful study of Scriptures. We believe that God has revealed an unfolding purpose for the human
family and the universe through the Hebrew Scriptures (Old Testament) and fully in the New Testament.
We hold the New Testament as the record of life, ministry, teaching, death, and resurrection of Jesus
Christ, and the beginnings of the life and thought of the Christian church.
