The National Day of Prayer is an annual event held throughout the United States on the first Thursday in May asking Christians to unite in prayer for our nation. This years event will be held on May 7th. Asher Glade Church of the Brethren participates annually, inviting area Christians to gather for this event. Digging deaper into God’s Word, a weekly Bible Study is held on Wednesday’s beginning at 6:30. They are seasonal Bible Studies, meaning that they run from January through the end of May, and from Labor Day until Thanksgiving.
Vacation Bible School is an important outreach to our local community. Usually help in July, children from various parts of the region come to Asher Glade for a week of learning and fun. More information to come.
An important event at our church is the annual Chicken ‘n Biscuit Dinner / Gospel Sing. Usually help in August, proceeds from the event support Operation Christmas Child. More information coming.
